Life Cycle: Winter Annual

Finely dissected, rounded leaves on long stems that are typically reddish. Stems and leaves are covered with fine hairs. Pink or white flowers have 5 petals and are produced in clusters. This eastern North America native plant reseeds aggressively and can become weedy in thin lawns and open areas with poor clay, sandy or gravelly soil. Seed pods are long and narrow. Grows up to 2 ft. tall.
